Changing the MAF Curve

Anything about Ford EEC tuning. TwEECer and Moates questions dominate, but there's some SCT and OBD-II knowledge too.

Changing the MAF Curve

Postby Mustang5lx0 » Mon Feb 08, 2010 6:59 pm

I've been doing some hefty reading on the site these past few days learning as much as I can about tuning. Just got the quarterhorse and have been doing a lot of datalogging trying to figure out what is going on. Found some good info and am on the right track now. Right now I'm working on getting the right MAF curve in the tune. I've seen a lot about this subject but am still a little lost when it comes to what curve I should be using. When everyone talks about using the MAF curve from EA are you talking about the one that comes up when you select what setup you have, i.e. C&L 76mm w/Blue Tube 55mm Sensor? That's what I have at the moment. Am I just transferring what shows up in Volt 1, Flow 1? Or do i need to calculate the Factory setup (Stock A9L) vs C&L 76m w/Blue Tube 55mm sensor? I just want to make sure that I get the right info in there so I can start looking at some other parameters without having to go back to fix the MAF over and over again.

Thanks for any help.

select which sensor you have in EA. Transfer what shows up (all of it) to BE MAF transfer. Easiest thing to do is highlight all the values in the Volt and Flow columns, right click - copy and then paste that into the columns of BE MAF transfer.

Thanks what I did, just wanted to make sure before writing the tune and having problems.
